The Uruguayan Minister of Tourism, Liliam Kechichian, announced that the government will re-discount, from October until next April, the IVA on non-resident tourists to encourage tourist activity during the summer season.
The 22 points of IVA will be deducted for the "instability" and "great volatility of the exchange rate" of the Argentine economy.
